Warm Berry Chia Protein Porridge

Tamika Woods Updated: September 15, 2026 1 min read

This warm berry chia protein porridge is a thick, creamy and comforting alternative to traditional oatmeal. Combining protein, fibre and healthy fats, it follows the PCOS Repair Breakfast principles to help keep you feeling full while supporting steadier blood sugar and sustained morning energy.

Ingredients:

  • 150 mL almond or coconut milk
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • Enough of your favourite protein powder to provide approximately 30 g of protein (I use around 1½ scoops of FloFit Protein)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen berries, such as raspberries, strawberries or blueberries
  • Optional toppings, such as nuts, seeds, nut butter, coconut or extra berries

    (serves 1)

Instructions:

  1. Add the milk, chia seeds, protein powder and cinnamon, if using, to a small saucepan. Whisk well until combined and there are no lumps.
  2. Gently heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture becomes thick and creamy.
  3. If using frozen berries, stir them through the porridge and allow them to warm and soften before removing the saucepan from the heat. If using fresh berries, add them after turning off the heat.
  4. Pour into a bowl, add your desired toppings and enjoy.
